Grizzlies,moose,caribou,lynx,and Dall sheep are found in several national parks. Mountain goats rest from rocky cliffs while black oystercatchers snare mollusks in their long beaks along the shores of Kenai Fjords National Park. Lynx,golden eagles,snowshoe hares,moose, and hoary marmots live in the boreal forest filled with trees,lakes, and rivers. Blueberries and poisonous bane berries can grow in Alaska alongside tall,wooded trees. There is also plenty of life in the sea including crabs,mollusks,and salmon which grizzlies catch from waterfalls. The 60 foot long bowhead whale is the state marine mammal with a huge head to smash through ice. Orcas, humpbacks,puffins,sea lions, and polar bears, the largest land carnivores also live in the sea. Chinook Salmon are the state fish and Forget me nots are the state flowers.
