Alaska is known for the world's largest statue of Santa Claus. It's in a tiny Alaskan city called the North Pole.
This is the Million Dollar Bridge. You can find it in Cordova, Alaska. It was built in 1990. It cost over 1.4 million dollars, hence it's name.
Amalik Bay is a large body of water surrounding Alaska. The bay's water flows into the Pacific Ocean. You might see a grizzly catch a salmon near the shore. Amalik Bay is near the base of the Aleutian Islands.
This is the Alaskan Bonitical Garden. It's over 110 acres of land. It is swarmed by several spruce and birch forests. There are plenty of flowers to see in the garden.
This is the Abandoned Igloo Hotel. It has several windows and rooms. The hotel is in the shape of an igloo. You can find it along the road to Fairbanks, 180 miles from Anchorage.
On Chuginadak Island you will find one of Alaska's stratovolcanoes, Mount Cleveland. On Sunday May 5 2013, a mass explosion was created.
This is Castle Hill in Sitka, Alaska. It's over 60 feet tall. It is also called Baranof Castle State Historic Site.
This is Bogoslof Island. Several seabirds are found on the shores of this majestic island, including the tufted puffin shown here. This island is the summit of a stratovolcano located in the Bering Sea.
